The Indus Worm comes to us from India, in the Indus River. A creature similar to the small worms found in figs or rotten wood but this one is much larger, over 3 meters, skin two fingers thick and with two large 18” square teeth. During the day they keep to the mud at the bottom of the river, but once night falls they emerge to hunt animals as large as Camels and Cows. Though there are stories of hungry worms sneaking up and grabbing drinking cattle by the nose inn broad daylight and dragging them under.
Despite its predatory nature the Indus worm is prized for it’s oil, which is so powerful it can only be quenched by throwing large amounts of clay and rubble on it. The oil of the Indus worm is so rare that only the King of India my possess it.
While each color has its own specific recipe every skein is individually hand dyed and hand painted which may cause colors to vary in distribution.
If using more than one skein in a project, I recommend alternating skeins.
