The daughter of Poseidon and Gaea, and often paired with Scylla is one of the two monsters who control the narrow waters in the Strait of Messina. She is most often personified as a whirlpool. Once a voracious woman some stories say she stole oxen from Hercules and was then struck down by Zues’s thunderbolt chaining her to the seafloor to become Nature.  Lurking beneath the rock with an immense fig tree, Charybdis opens her maw and sucks down the sea three times a day. And three times she throws it back up again. When she drinks in the sea sailors say that Poseidon himself cannot save you from her destruction. Odysseus himself had barely escaped from her clutches by clinging to the tree until his raft had floated back to the surface after she released the waters she had swallowed.

While each color has its own specific recipe every skein is individually hand dyed and hand painted which may cause colors to vary in distribution.

If using more than one skein in a project, I recommend alternating skeins.
